Richard Roeder

Richard Roeder is a Senior Advisor to Vance Street, and is a member of the Fund I and Fund II Investment Committees. From 2007 through 2020, he served as a Managing Partner at Vance Street, and as a board member of Vance Street’s portfolio companies. Prior to the formation of Vance Street in 2007, Mr. Roeder co-founded and served as a Managing Director of Aurora Capital Group from 1991 until 2007. From 1981 to 1991, he was a partner of Paul Hastings LLP, where, from 1987 to 1991, he served as Chairman of the firm’s corporate law department. Mr. Roeder holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley and an A.B. from Amherst College.
Mr. Roeder currently serves on the Boards of International Aerospace Coatings and Motion Dynamics.

Mr. Roeder is an Emeritus Trustee of the Music Center of Los Angeles County and past President and an Emeritus Trustee of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Other involvements include service on the Boards of the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Berkeley Center on Law and Business and Cambridge in America.
